Location/Distribution/Population size
- The giant panda populations are scattered across humid and high mountainous ranges of China’s south-east and north-west that has large bamboo forests.
- One adult pair needs about 7,400 acres of bamboo to maintain them
(Ruru Zhou, 2015)
- With a sad estimate of 1,600 left in the wild about 300 in zoos, the much adored giant panda stays on the endangered list.
